What a great read! Holes is a story about loyalty and friendship. It is a story about hard work, righting a wrong, and coming out better in the end. Holes will hook the kids with realistic characters, stories, and detail. It will keep them engaged and leave them wanting more. What more could you ask for from a book?
The gift of a book is a priceless one, indeed. I would like to provide my students with a copy of Holes that they can read at home and keep for their own. These books will allow my students to follow along with the story in the actual book instead of just listening to the story or reading it on a screen. If they are like me, having a physical page to read is more engaging and also easier to read. So much of our learning time is done on the screen now, I would like them to be able to have the chance to read a physical book just as they would in a normal school setting.
