This year our school has decided to provide our students with real world meaningful learning for students by transitioning from a traditional technology class to a STEAM-based learning class. I think this is exactly what our students are needing in this 21st century of learning.
By making this transition, students will have an environment where they can observe and ask questions. They will also be able to have more authentic engagement than in the traditional technology classes. Another positive about teaching STEAM is that it blends different subjects to teach 21st century skills students need if they wish to succeed in a workplace in the future.
If these Snap Circuits and STEM Builder materials are funded my students will be learning how to follow directions step by step, they will learn how to work together with their peers, and they will learn the process it takes to create the final product using the engineering design process.
Students will benefit from this project because they are developing 21st century learning skills that will help them be successful in their future careers.
