This laptop charging station will support the learning of hundreds of students. I will allow my homerooms to leave their computers to charge overnight and be ready to use them the following day. Additionally, if other homerooms need to charge them during class, they will have the ability to do so. I want to save counter space for gallery walks and engaging science labs, and having computers piled up impeded the flow of science learning. Students will be able to integrate their charged laptops into class by completing interactive labs such as Gizmos, daily social-emotional check-ins, science AIR test prep, project-based learning, test review platforms such as Kahoot, Blooket, etc. The laptops my students received have so much potential, and I'd like my students to use them regularly that allows them to learn science at a deeper level and engage them in technology skills they will need as they progress to high school, college, and career!
