The students I work with come from lower socio-economic family incomes. Many of the students will be the first in their families to go to college. In College 101, I help students do career exploration, then look at a variety of colleges, We have about 12 different college come visit and explain the learning and living opportunities that their schools will provide.
As we promote the idea that education is the passport to the future and tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today, my students will be writing a great letter, filling out scholarship applications, and printing multiple letters of recommendation. Having a color printer will help provide them with a greater opportunity to find success in obtaining different scholarships.
