For our project, we are asking for items for a reading corner. The area will be in the corner of our classroom, and the donations will consist of things to make this area trendy, relaxing, and educational. We need a bookshelf to hold the books that are on our list. The beanbag chairs are very comfy and perfect for reading a good book. The rug and floor lights all add to the reading vibe we are creating. I want to create a learning environment where the students are eager every day to read.
The goal of my reading corner is to improve Lexile Scores and increase participation in the Accelerated Reading program. The items that I am asking for to complete this project will help create a trendy spot that will be a reward for students for good behaviors, stand-up citizens, and literacy time.
