By using the bean bag chairs during reading and work time, students will be able to feel more comfortable in the classroom. At the elementary level, teachers work to foster a love of reading for students. Part of that is helping them see the joy and comfort that reading can bring. Very few individuals read sitting up straight in desk chairs while they are finding love and enjoyment in reading. When most of us read, we cozy up with our books and really dive in. By having the bean bags as seating options for students, they will be able to experience a more authentic reading experience and will grow to love reading even more.
