Since the beginning of the year I have been focused on making my lessons more virtual friendly because some of the students do not have art materials at home. Instead we have been drawing virtually but the students are eager to use and explore different materials. We are currently working on a portrait project in which I encourage them to think about different mediums but not all of them have the ability to explore that. I think that if they had their own set of materials at home for example a sketchpad, watercolors and colored pencils it could really help them gain new skills and have fun with art again. It will also help establish a set of materials that I know my students have because not all of them are able to go out and purchase these supplies.
