Learning a new language, in a new country, during one of the most arguably awkward times of life (middle school!) has been made even more difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having access to an Apple iPad Air and second generation Apple Pencil will dramatically improve the way I am able to interact with my students. During this time of remote learning, I will be able add notes to their digital assignments, participate in video conferencing without my computer freezing, and simultaneously utilize my laptop to facilitate the remote curriculum while still participating with them on video. The technology that the school provides is adequate, but my students have an increased need for lesson material and personal feedback to be written rather than spoken. When in-person schooling resumes, the iPad will still be useful for grading, communication, and as a translation and media tool.
Thank you for joining me in empowering the next generation of superheroes disguised among us!
