Organization is a major key in helping students become successful in school. With the supplies I am asking for, my students will be able to organize and logically think through engaging tasks. As their ideas emerge and take form they will be able to place them in their journals and share them with their peers. The journals will also enable them to create and generate ideas and representations related to new mathematical concepts; record formal definitions, properties, procedures; and model mathematical concepts that are consistent with becoming successful in their Algebra 1 course. Thank you for helping me create students who can take ownership of their learning as they verbalize, solve, practice and create mathematical habits.

About my class
