Our school board decided to begin the year with all students online from home. They recently updated guidelines to phase students back to face to face learning in a hybrid model. I will be teaching both face to face and online at the same time. While my six year old computer has worked slowly since the beginning of the year and I am not encountering further computer problems. My computer does not support many instructional programs I need to utilize with my students. I find my connections are constantly lagging. Engagement in a virtual environment is challenging, especially when students have to wait to see the information. Many of my students have academic and behavioral challenges that causes them to be easily distracted and upset. Getting denied access to some educational programs is frustrating for me and my students.
