These books will enrich and strengthen our study of mythology, given a reputable source (rather than just finding materials online) and teach students the language of scholarship. No one can beat Edith Hamilton's study of Greek and Roman mythology. Our students will use these books to create presentations, compare Greek and Roman mythology to mythologies of other cultures, create their own myths, and expand their understanding of allusion.
With enough copies, each student can have his/her own copy to use for the semester, enabling them to use it at home and/or in class.
