Supporting classrooms with more technology gives students the opportunity to learn 21st century skills, including problem-solving, collaboration and critical thinking skills, preparing students for success in a rapidly changing environment and in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields.
Many of these students do not have access to technology at home, and accessing technology in school is an opportunity to close the achievement gap. With more tablets in the classroom, students will have greater access to information, cameras and tools to document projects, and increased access to blended learning programs and educational applications.
