Many of my students struggle to learn in a class all day and need a safe, calm environment to relax and calm down before preparing for the rest of their school day. Many of the items on my list, including the bean bags, rugs, diffuser, sensory seat cushion, and more, will allow students to regulate in a safe way. Students will be able to not only regulate in a safe way, but they will also be able to learn which relaxation techniques work best for them. Many of my students have not had the opportunity to practice relaxation techniques, so I would love to give them that opportunity.
