In this day in age, working technology can be the difference between getting work done or not at all. Having a new Chrome book would help more students in my classroom to complete assignments. Since Covid-19 transformed how we teach, all assignments are now digital. Students in my classroom have to share two old desktop computers, which barely can support the programs the students use. This is just not acceptable.
My students come from social disadvantaged backgrounds. They appreciate school and want to succeed. However, a lot of time is wasted because we do not have the technology available for them to access programs to learn basic reading and math skills our school has purchased.
