I truly have great kids at my school! I find that even though they are excited to come to art, I often find myself pushing them to challenge themselves to go beyond what they think is their best, to reveal what is really their full potential. I am hoping that the "pushing" that I do will become more intrinsic as I see these students from year to year. I have already seen some changes in my older students. My students are very kind and fun and bring a lot of creativity with them to their projects. We have students from all walks of life coming to our school- from families that are very wealthy, to families who have very little. The school that I teach at provides these individuals with many enriching opportunities for them to hone in on their strengths as well as develop their weaknesses- in and out of the classroom.
