These supplies will help learning from home become more equitable and accessible for our English Language Learner students. Our students can use these supplies to participate in class activities as well as engage in learning on their own time. The supplies are focused on the basics - paper, pencils, and sharpeners - to ensure that our ELL students are able to engage with their education.
Additionally, this project will include a group set of the bilingual book, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, so that we can engage in an end-of-the-year project with activities. We will read the book together and engage in craft activities to keep students motivated and participating. With virtual learning, it has been difficult to read as often and as intensely as we usually would in-person. By creating a project around the same book for all our students, we can promote a sense of normalcy for our students. The project will serve as closure for the school year.
