Positive school behavior comes in many forms: how you treat your peers and teachers, making sure you turn in your work on time, etc. Currently my students are working on making choices that help them to focus on being good students and develop learning skills that they will use the rest of their lives. To encourage positive choices (respectful, responsible and safe), teachers provide students with a token that they are able to use in our school store. I have noticed some amazing differences with our students. We have had students save their tokens to buy a bike for their little sister, work collaboratively for an item both can share. Our students love getting to visit the school store every week.
Our students are more engaged in completing their work, have been less disruptive in classes, and have developed positive interactions with their peers.
The products I have selected will help so many students. They will help students with attention deficits to focus better, encourage students to treat each other respectfully, and provide opportunities for them to develop cooperation and skills that will last a lifetime.
