My students are young adults that live in an intricate city with limited access to learning tools that reflect what they see in their community. My goal is to ensure our students' safety and enhance their exposure to our city and finding the most effective way to communicate with others in their community. With the iPad, I intend to create adapted materials that include our subway system, people in our community that can assist them should they need help, learning personal information, and anything that can ensure their safety as they will eventually be adults that are thrust into the community. iPads also provide access to communication apps that can facilitate reciprocal interaction.
