The resources would give my students relevant and engaging text options to use while growing as readers. The length of the Time articles are comparable to STAAR assessment texts. The articles are more thought provoking, and the vocabulary used is more real current to the lives of today’s students. The articles gives students additional options other than textbooks or novels. I also requested a few skill cards that support poetry and word decoding skills, which are traditionally low scoring skills for my kiddos. The more resources we have the greater chance of having my student connect with the text.
