This kiln will help me to fire the student work in smaller batches in order to get the projects back to students in a timely manner. I have a large older kiln that I currently use, and I try to fill it before firing it so that we don't waste the power ($75/firing). If I have a smaller kiln, I can fire one classes work at a time and not feel like I have to wait for multiple classes to finish their projects before firing. I can then get projects back to students sooner so they can enjoy their work, and take it home to show parents.

About my class
