My students need a classroom iPad pro so they have the opportunity to learn and engage with the many amazing educational digital learning tools and assessment programs. It is essential that my students with Autism have a variety of ways to show what they know with physical manipulatives in the classroom and by way of a touch screen. Many student with Autism are challenged by a limited ability to focus. Having a classroom tool that will keep their attention as well as help them to engage with their learning would be a tremendous asset to all students in the classroom. The classroom current iPad is a first generation and freezes and cannot download many of the new and wonderful learning tools and apps. I can only imagine what successes we could have with updated technology my students could learn and grow from.
