These hydraulic arms will be the icing on the cake for our bionic engineering lessons! My students will learn leadership skills and work as teams while following multi-step instructions to assemble the "Hydrobot Arm Kits." Once assembled, the bots will be used to perform a variety of STEM/STEAM tasks throughout many years to come! My students will light up with joy when they actively engage in the use of the hydraulic arms, developing a better understanding of how pressure and liquid can be used to move parts! They will also use the hydraulic arms to perform a variety of tasks, one being Rube Goldberg-inspired chain reactions. These experiences will give my students early exposure to careers in science, including the medical field and engineering.
