Students will be discovering how to use weather instruments to measure certain weather conditions for our upcoming weather unit. They will be building 5 weather instruments to build their weather station: a barometer, anemometer, rain gauge, thermometer, and wind vane. Building these instruments using the supplies in this project will help the students understand these instruments' mechanics and purpose at the fundamental level. We will be supplementing this project with recycled materials such as cardboard boxes, liter bottles, and empty glass jars. Please help us have this opportunity for every student to build these instruments. Each student having their own supplies to complete this project will allow them to take full ownership of their learning!
