Reading and listening to stories of kindness and diversity, will help my students form connections to both fictional and real characters. These stories will help them learn that it’s ok to be different, stand out, and except their differences along with others. Young children connect to characters. These books will allow for my students to make real life connections and understand the importance of treating everyone with respect, equality, kindness and compassion. A small act of kindness can make a large impact on a child’s life. It begins with a book!
