The materials and games that I have chose will help my students learn through collaborative play with their peers. Not only will they be learning academics while playing, they will also learn key social skills. The sensory letters and numbers (gel filled and sandpapers) will help provide my students with tactile learning opportunities. While we will use some of these games in small group to review and practice skills, some will also be used to encourage independent work. These will help my students by providing a fun, engaging activity for my students to complete by themselves during independent literacy and math centers.
