Fidgets and flexible seating for my students will help keep their minds active while rewarding their brains. Most of my students have ADHD and having something that helps them move and keep their hands going will really allow for them to continue to learn and grow.
As a first year teacher, I don't have a lot of extra money to purchase these things for my students, but giving students choices and making them comfortable is my ultimate goal! I need ways for them to "get their wiggles out" that won't be distracting to the class and flexible seating is the perfect solution for this!
Fidgets help keep both the hands and the minds of my students active. I currently have one squishy toy that one of my students uses and he has never been more focused or involved in class.
