Most of my students are visual and kinesthetic learners. In order to support their learning styles, I try and provide them visuals and hands-on learning tools for all subject areas, particularly for mathematics.
My students are better able to acquire and master new skills when they have the hands on learning resources and tools to help them. I notice a huge difference in their learning when they do not have access to these resources.
Resources that they can physically touch and manipulate, like a number line, fraction tiles and unifix cubes, would help them so much. In addition, math boards for place value and problem solving help them visualize and organize their thoughts easily.
