I am a kindergarten teacher who tries every day to make sure the students in my class enjoy coming to school. This is my 5th year teaching and I learn right along with the students daily. Each year the class is different and so their needs and wants are different also. My students are from an unban community where many rely on free breakfast and lunch. Their parents do not have the means to help provide all of the extra things their children need in school for ultimate success. Teachers try to keep their classrooms up to date and lively but these things cost money, usually out of the pockets of teachers. My classroom has flexible seating (that needs replace every so often), a calm down space, STEM toys and much more. All of these items are to help the growth of the child in any stage of learning. I am looking forward to sharing pictures with you of my happy and learning kiddies once my project is funded.
