I am requesting books that will help my students develop their Social Emotional Learning skills as well as books that offer diverse stories that give my students representation of different cultures and backgrounds.
My students love to hear stories, as do most children! The books and stories that I've chosen can help them explore their emotions and feelings. There are also stories that explore self-love through representation as well as learning about other cultures. My students will be returning to the building soon and I would love to welcome them back with some new books to read!
When returning to school, students will have many emotions from this past year while dealing with the pandemic. It will be great for them to dive into how they are feeling and how to deal with anxiety through reading/listening to these books.
