These books will greatly enhance our classroom library by giving students diverse choices for independent reading. I chose books that represent the students in my classroom and at my school. I plan to collaborate with our media center specialists to do "book talks" on each title as well as use excerpts from these books to pair with required readings. I will use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards for supplemental materials for the titles.
With your generous donations my students will not only have access to high interest books but they will also have access to books with diverse topics. They will be able to read these books in class or check them out to read at home on virtual days. I am so excited to be able to expose my students to these amazing titles!
