The materials I am requesting will be used during our math centers. Having these easy-to-access materials readily available to students will allow more time for me to be able to work with small groups or one-on-one with struggling students, while others can practice their addition and subtraction facts using the spinners, wrap-up keys, or the dice. The Spahtm 120 Mat will help students learn place-value, which is an essential skill in all areas of math, that will need throughout every grade. The clipboards will allow students to work with groups on the floor or will be used during scavengers hunts. The dry-erase pockets will serve multiple purposes during our center time. Every material I have requested will help to ensure students the best quality of education.
By donating to our project, you will be giving us materials to make math fun for all learners, which will help them achieve their full potential this year. Instead of forcing students to take the high-anxiety timed-math tests, these materials would provide a fun way for students to become fluent with their math facts, before beginning 2-digit addition and subtraction. The materials will help students gain confidence, fall in love with learning, and be able to reach their goals in second grade.
