They focus on topics of interest or current events, which all of our students do not always have access to. With the digital content available, this resource can be used by our students whether we are learning from school or home.

With this resource, we are able to utilize the content for ALL subject areas within our classroom. Students get practice with non-fiction comprehension that is a vital skill in our 3rd grade curriculum. They are exposed to a range of topics that include rich, non-fiction text features such as charts, maps and graphs. They are able to apply what they have learned in an article to an opinion writing piece. In my classroom, we have had many healthy debates over an opinion question that is stated in these issues. The possibilities are endless with this valuable resource!
