Did you know that in classrooms with quality classroom libraries, students read 50-60% more?? (Catapano, 2009; Morrow, 2003; Kim, 2003; Neuman, 1999). Help grow our readers by contributing more high-interest books to our classroom! We're trying to broaden our availability in genre, format, diverse representation, reading level, and up-to-date choices!
Students have chosen over 28 books they're dying to read, and YOU can be the one who puts those in their hands! From some fabulous new fantasies (big "Warrior Cats" fans here) to curricular-related informational texts (everyone is excited to read "Desert Diary: Japanese American Kids Behind Barbed Wire"), we are so hopeful for this project to get funded to get us reading more!
