Hi! My name is Amanda and I am a Transitional Kindergarten teacher. I work with students who are 4-5 years old, and we get to explore our learning through play! Most of my students come from low socioeconomic environments and our classroom relies heavily on donations to provide the necessities to make their TK experience a special one. TK students are naturally curious and interested in learning. I believe it is so vital to tap into this natural curiosity to create a life-long love of learning. My students are noticeably more engaged with their learning and less disruptive to their peers when they are given age-appropriate, interesting materials. Whether it be resources to learn about and discuss feelings with social-emotional materials, or exploring their world through different kinds of sensory play, this kind of engagement creates happy learners! Thank you for helping me make my classroom a magical place to be!
