Token economies are a great way to get students to buy into learning. Students get rewarded for learning and get to buy rewards. Students get to purchases things that they are interested in like food, fidgets, and others things that they like. This allows students to foster independence in the classroom and take ownership in their learning. Token economies help students want to participate in learning. This can also make learning fun. We go shopping once a month. Students really enjoy this part and look forward to being able to pick out what they want.
