A diverse and representative library for social and emotional learning will help all the students at my school succeed. The books that I have requested for this library will encourage my students to build resiliency and the skills they need to manage their emotions. Students light up when we read books in Spanish and it helps them connect with other students and teachers.
We know that students who see themselves reflected in the classroom do better and feel happier at school, the students at NSE deserve to feel seen and loved through this diverse library. Our students will learn about growth mindset, emotional regulation, community, and diversity through these books!
