These educational sewing kits and books will help students develop STEM skills for careers and social emotional stamina to overcome obstacles for school and life. Students are meeting after school for the sewing club where they are learning the basics of sewing as well as building relationships and confidence that will help them during the school day and at home. Students will be researching projects to learn how to recycle, repurpose and redesign. They will read the sewing manuals to learn how to use their sewing machines. The books for this project will give them lots of new ideas, help them learn about women leaders and how to not give up when things are challenging.
