All students are beautifully unique! All students have emotions! It is not until we teach about emotions that students become self aware and can begin to practice self regulation. As a School Social Worker, I create lessons and meet with individual students, groups and classrooms to discuss self acceptance, emotional intelligence and calming strategies.
Focusing on the whole child from an early age increases student's overall well being, development and success. The books from this project will address the social and emotional needs of my students and ultimately aid their ability to learn in the classroom.
