These materials will greatly improve the students who attend OT and their ability to learn in profound ways. The lap desk will give all students, both those in wheelchairs and not, the ability to complete their work in a new position rather than a typical work space. Those in wheelchairs thrive on new positioning throughout the day!
The requested items, such as sensory paint, Velcro veggies, and the geo board, will continue to develop my students' sensory regulation, fine motor, visual motor and visual perception in a fun way! These skills are the key factors that help student's succeed!
Not only will these materials help our students but they will also help myself and my OT colleagues stay organized to monitor, plan, and store needed materials such as scissors, pencils, and crayons! We can't help students if our classrooms are not organized!
