We use whiteboard space for our students to be able to come to the board and collaborate together on a larger surface area. Students can work collectively to muddle through algebraic and geometric concepts. We also use the whiteboard space as teachers to model new mathematical concepts and to connect new ideas to students' prior knowledge.
With a new whiteboard, we will be able to differentiate our instruction on a much larger scale and use co-teaching models such as station teaching, parallel teaching, and small group work to further student understanding. These teaching models will allow us to work with smaller groups of students and provide them with targeted instruction to aid them in their understanding.
