While teaching, I often notice students are wiggly- as they should be! Movement is so important for young children! There are many studies that back up the importance of flexible seating in all ages. It is my hope to support the needs of all of my students and create an atmosphere where we take care of our most basic needs first, and then we can learn!
By offering flexible seating, children often feel empowered by choice. By having a variety of choices of flexible seating, this will help the children in my classroom feel confident about making their own decisions, empowered by choice and in control of their day. Each of my students have very different needs and it is important to me that those needs are met!
