I will transform my classroom using decor for an ER, construction site, and boot camp for different thematic units. Students will dress up as doctors as they conduct surgery on text features and math problems. They will wear hard hats as they enter a construction zone to correct math and reading mistakes. As we get closer to our end of year exam, students will go through a fun and exciting boot camp to review with camo decor and theme. We will finish out the school year with a novel study of "Because of Winn Dixie" complete with a tree to forget our mistakes and a party with a picnic, just like the book. Why not make learning fun?
