These materials will help my students perform job skills needed in the world of work. They make Ellison cut shapes and letters for the teachers in our district and many of our die cuts are worn out and need to be upgraded. The students learn many soft skills for employment through this project. Reading the order requests, using basic tools (Ellison cut and paper cutter), working as a team, packaging and labeling orders, counting, sorting and organizing, and many other skills. They may not be ready for employment but through this activity, they learn the meaning of a job and a sense of pride in what they are doing. It is a great beginning job for my students.
