In my classroom, I have students reading on a wide range of different levels. I have had to revamp my phonics teaching time in order to help each student learn at their level. By using the Hands-on Phonics Bundle, I will have many tools at my fingertips to use while teaching or have the students use them after the lesson has been taught. I will be able to give each student extra practice incorporating what they have learned in the phonics lesson into everyday activities. Phonics can have some very difficult skills to learn, so I would love to use these activities to help my students get a better grasp on each phonics skill. All these activities are easily cleanable as well, which helps greatly with our new cleaning procedures at school due to Covid protocols.
With my students having a variety of reading levels, I am also in need of more books for our classroom library. I moved to 2nd grade from kindergarten, and I am finding that I am still in need of a variety of leveled books. I would like to have a better assortment of books so that my students can have books on hand in the classroom when needed, because of our current library situation due to Covid-19. As my students become better at phonics and reading, they would like to put their skills to use when practicing reading books.
