My Transitional kindergarten students love science and art! Being able to combine science and art gives my students an opportunity to understand the concepts we are learning in a different way and gives them a project they can take home to share with family members. I have requested art materials such as pipe stems, colored feathers, craft sticks, tissue paper, and paint.
I can extend and enhance my students' joy and learning by adding art projects to my science lessons. All my little ones are excited by science, but using art to help explore new concepts makes my lessons even better. Plus they have a hands-on activity to share at home and tell their family all about what we are doing in school.
