We have an upcoming unit on Ecosystems and Biomes. In this unit students will learn about animal habitats, an energy flow from food webs, food chains, and energy pyramids. It is important for students to learn about different animal behaviors and habitats, to help understand the other organisms in the environment and to compare with their own. To help explain this to my students and provide them with a real world learning experience, I am requesting two tanks, dome lights, and a heating pad to house our classroom pets (baby ball python and baby bearded dragon).
Due to the pandemic, a lot of our students are not able to travel and experience a real zoological park. The materials will help me to provide that experience for them.
