My students are deaf and or hard of hearing. We focus on learning language and building vocabulary. The importance of reading is emphasized in our classroom. I strive to give the students a rich reading environment that will enhance their language development. Within my classroom I provide functional learning opportunities in math, science and social studies.My students need an understanding of what is being taught and link that learning to everyday real life situations and use.
