I am a first year early childhood special education teacher. My students have been in person for the entirety of the covid pandemic, and have cycled through just about every table top toy available to them. Because of covid, my students can only play with toys and equipment that is easily sanitized and thoroughly cleaned between each use. The new table top toys and manipulatives I've included here would be incredible for my students -- it would give them something exciting to look forward to, which has been in short supply during this stressful and unprecedented time.
The big ticket item that I hope to receive is the indoor hammock and swing set! Swinging is often a soothing sensory input for young children with autism. My students take frequent sensory breaks throughout the day, but our equipment has been limited due to covid. The hammock swing set would be vital for providing my students with the stimulation they need while also being easy to clean!
