I have been trying to find ways for students to be more collaborative without the mess and waste of paper products. These boards will allow students to work together on short projects, take a picture, and erase at the end of our block period.
These activities will demonstrate their learning and also build their collaboration skills with their fellow classmates.
Students will use these whiteboards in gallery walks, team projects, and even Socratic seminars. As of now, we do not have any portable whiteboards in my class. Students often have to use poster boards or deli sheets in order to complete projects but these materials are a waste to the environment and hard to display. They also get lost from time to time.
