I love teaching my high school students through great works of literature. However, I teach in a small rural town, and our access to class sets of great books is very limited. There is just never any money to buy books. I buy used books for my classroom library on a regular basis. I then allow my students borrow these books for independent reading. However, I want to also provide them with opportunities to read and discuss books as a class. Therefore, I am trying to fund the purchase of some class sets of books that I know will be both educational and enriching. The best way to increase reading ability and knowledge is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and knowledge.
